Not-The-Final Fantasy XII Not-The-Final Fantasy XII

Probably one of the funniest things ever that I didnt notice til after going through the extras. In the preloader, everyone is beating the shit out of te gigantic boss, and Van is sitting there to the side clapping. hahaha

Bobert-Rob responds:

Hell yes, cuz Vaan sucks too much to actually fight that thing. Yay for that. Thanks for going through the extras, I appreciate that man. Thanks for the comment and compliment!

The whole thing was pretty good. I kinda just watched it to watch it. I did enjoy the YMCA dance thing, but the only part that made me straight laugh was at the very end--just before the credits. So random. So perfect. You get a 4 from me.

The Siege Of Theldale The Siege Of Theldale

Rated 1.5 / 5 stars

Has potential, but...

I played twice and died both times via axeman spam. The first time was fairly early on when I tried to shoot around the axeman's shield and they just took me down. The second time, I had realized that there is no way around the shield and you just have to keep shooting at them until they open up. The problem is that when there are 5 axemen standing on top of each other, you just keep sending arrows into the fray and they keep getting blocked. I sent a volley of arrows and laid into them the whole time, but the 5 axemen single handedly destroyed me from 75%+ health.

I dont like that you improve your accuracy, but you still have to overshoot at enemies far away. You need more upgrades, more XP from kills, and other archers to help. Also, there MUST be a way to skip the cutscenes. The cutscenes (and the axemen) will keep me from trying again to do any better.

I thought it was a little bit weird I got the achievement for 300 headshots a full level before I got the achievement for 300 kills...

Like I said, it has potential, but it needs some work.

Played for a long time but...

I lost the game when I foolishly bought the "best" weapon. I had purchased and fully upgraded the bazooka, and I had racked up about 200 upgrade points. So, I went ahead and bought the tesla thing with a few upgrades for duration (since that is the key upgrade imo). So after playing for about an hour, my first tesla upgrade drops and it fires some slow ass light missile? So all of my shit gets eaten and I lose because it doesn't do shit.

Its too slow, the upgrades don't upgrade well enough, and your best weapon is a piece of shit. Other than that, you get a 5 for good graphics and keeping my attention for a bit.

Incredibly annoying

I'm not discounting your skill. The game is pretty sweet. Decent graphics and a lot of potential. HOWEVER, the balance was waaaaaaay off with damage/reload time for ranged weapons/zombie strength escalating faster than weapons unlock, ect.

With no save or retry feature, I played through 4 times to be forced to start over from knife/pistol. The ranged weapons seemed to be worthless, since non of them seem to fire quickly enough to keep from being dominated. There seemed to be no rhyme or reason as to if/when weapons would become available, but maybe every 3rd level you might get something that sucks marginally less than what you had. Using my left hand to control the mouse and might right hand to double click the mouse with the best melee weapon that was available to me was not enough to hold back the horde (even with a barricade and the 2 cheaper shooters). I played through 5 times, but never cleared the first map and I never will since it takes me 15 minutes to get to anything challenging (at which point it is instantly overwhelming since all of the weapons seem to suck).

Apparently, people have had success with mass clicking the katana, but that only worked for me until the last level or two of the first map when I was severly overrun. Up until then, I hadn't let any zombie pass through. I think the barricades/survivors may have actually hurt my surviving, but I won't be playing through again.

Keep trying. Like I said, there is great work here and it deserves the front page. I just didn't like the balance.

not bad

Sounded a lil like a final fantasy fighting theme. I enjoyed it, but it was pretty short.

Kryptoniks responds:

It's a wrestling theme...though you might had heard it sumwhere else and Yes It does sound like a FF song
